After completing her studies, she made the bold decision to abandon her comfortable life and social conventions to take up a position as a scientist in Białowieża.

Settling in the middle of the wilderness, in a house without electricity or running water, Simona Kossak began to live by her own rules. There, in the magical wilderness, she met photographer Lech Wilczek, with whom she connected not only through love of nature, but also the desire for freedom. Their unusual relationship became an inspiration for many, going beyond the usual patterns. 
Fight for ideals and environmental protection
However, as Simona discovers, her ideas about the work of a naturalist and the position of a young woman in the male-dominated world of science must be challenged. She must stand up for not only her ideals, but also the world of plants and animals to which she has dedicated her life.

Thanks to Adrian Panek's direction and screenplay, Simona Kossak's story will come to life on the big screen. The film " Simona Kossak " will compete for the Golden Lions at the 49th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia in September 2024, and will be available in cinemas for the general public from November 22.
